Born and raised right here in the Hampton Roads area, Dr. Wood has always called Coastal Virginia home, making her truly invested in the health and happiness of her neighbors. A Dental Legacy Begins Dr. Wood’s journey into dentistry began early, inspired by her mother, a longtime dental hygienist who instilled in her both a passion for oral health and a deep desire to help others. Watching her mother’s dedication to patient care sparked Dr. Wood’s own dream of becoming a dentist who could make a real difference in people’s lives. Educational Excellence Pursuing her aspirations with determination, Dr. Wood built an impressive educational foundation: Old Dominion University (ODU): Bachelor of Science in Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Business Administration Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU): Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Premedical Graduate Health Sciences VCU School of Dentistry: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) This comprehensive education equipped her with both the scientific knowledge and business acumen needed to provide exceptional patient care while running a successful practice.
